Midland Gate Shopping Centre is excited to announce the return of Hypervision in 2010, the youth festival that combines art, design and innovation.
A joint initiative by Midland Gate Shopping Centre and the City of Swan, Hypervision 2010 is designed to encourage youth participation in community events and support local emerging artists.
In its third year, Hypervision 2010 will kick off on Monday 5 July with a four week in-centre exhibition of artwork by young local artists.
Local artists aged between 12 and 25 were encouraged to submit their best work for inclusion in the exhibition at Midland Gate Shopping Centre.
From the many entries received, the top ten finalists will now go into a competition to become the ‘2010 Midland Gate Youth Artist’.
The winner will receive $1,000 prize money.
A People’s Choice Competition will also be held over the four weeks, with the winner taking home a $250 gift card from Midland Gate Shopping Centre, while one lucky voter will win a $250 Transit voucher. Click here to vote!
During the four week programme, Midland Gate Shopping Centre will host a number of in-centre activities. Activities this year will be fashion, screen printing & stop animation as well as a photo booth... dress up, get your pic taken & we'll upload onto facebook! Lots of other fun things will be happening around the centre those nights as well so make sure you come along 5:30pm - 9pm each Thursday during the month of July.
